Hippo
The Majestic Hippo
Hippos are really cute, but don't be fooled- they're also super deadly. Hippos are terretorial. Each piece of land is ruled by an adult male and lots of females and baby hippos. When more than one hippo wants charge over the same piece of land, things can get deadly- the hippos can clash with their long, sharp teeth.
Mother hippos are also fiercly protective of their young. If a threat is near, the mother will attack. Mother hippos have been known to chomp crocodiles in half, kind of like my dogs!
Hippos mostly laze about in the river during the day. They like to coat themselves in mud so they don't get burned by the harsh sun. They have their own language and way of communicating underwater.
In the night the hippos emerge from the water and go graze on grass.
